Project Overview

Re-Rite was a collaboration with the Philharmonia Orchestra. YeastCulture were commissioned as Creative Directors to develop the project alongside the Philharmonia’s internal video production team. Working very closely with Richard Slaney (now at 59 productions) we filmed the orchestra playing Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite of Spring’ from 30 different camera angles. The footage was then remixed into an immersive video installation which gave audiences a chance to experience what it feels like to sit inside the orchestra. The work premiered at the Bargehouse gallery in London which led to an international tour which included Portugal, Germany, France, America and Japan.
